Only a few spells let me get Apprentice level. Others do not. They all say "requires student". I have student in the spell (and a bronze talent) but I still can't advance the spell.

I'm not sure if this is it, because we are missing some points in the description of your problem, but... did you found the Sing Stone for that particular Sign? You can't unclock them without finding and touching one beforehand.

When I get talents and I meditate, clicking on the circle to gain apprentice level in a spell does nothing for most of the spells. The text on the spell claims I need student level and a bronze talent, but I already have that and it still doesn't do anything.


I don't know anything about a sign stone. I have all five spells at student level already. Where can I find a sign stone?

No, no - the sign stone is circle of elements, I forgot they were called that. ^.^
So you have all of them already? OK. Then do you have enough Inteligence? IIRC you need sufficient Int for higher signs, like Str, Dex and End for sword styles.

I figured out the problem. Although the game claims that you need a bronze talent and student level, you actually need a bronze talent, student level, and *one apprentice level spell*. You can''t choose apprentice by itself without hving a spell first, even though it looks like you can.
