I have lost my saved games yet again. It is all quite frustrating and entirely my fault as I forgot to back them up while messing about with my hard drives. However, this is the second time I have lost my saves to my own stupidity and am desperate to complete this beast before tackling the other two.

So, is there any way I can skip ahead in The Witcher? Anywhere I can just steal someone else's saves? Or am I destined to replay the first act forever?

Thanks!

You can skip all non-plot related tasks, but if you make this, you lose lots of xp an also some good wepaons (or minerals to make them) that become handy later in the game.

GOG members are often happy to provide their savegames to help people get past tricky bits, or help someone who's lost their save file. Just post where you are (possibly in a new thread so people can see you're looking for a save file) and I'm sure someone can provide one.

Corylea at The Witcher Forums has a saved game bank for just this kind of request.
Thanks, that's exactly what I'm after. Much appreciated.
