gog version doesnt run out of box, at least for me.

i use dgVoodoo wrapper, BUT DO NOT COPY DDRAW.DLL from dgVoodoo.

just copy D3Dlmm.dll, D3D9.dll, D3D8.dll

set up dgVoodoo

run the game on D3D mode. that's it



it seems so obvious, but ive tried all possible combinations i could think of to run this phuking game with QT video cutscene enabled.

i tried DX10 patch, peixoto patch, ddraw off workaround, 3d glide patch, and so on and on and on.

i just write this for someone suffering as i was.




i already own the original 2CD box package version, this game was pain in the butt to run properly even in the 2000.

but i think its worth your time. try this game.

I also finally got this game to run in windows 10( I was able to at least launch the game with out crashing and play the first level.). I just uninstalled quicktime lite that got installed when this game did.
trade off of this is I no longer get in game cut scenes. but hey I can just use vlc to watch them (gog_install_folder\The Wheel of Time\Movies) if I really want to see them.
