Original The Suffering suffers from too frequent crashes and had problem with sound. How to solve this problems?
This question / problem has been solved by LifeLoverimage
Hi, that game crashes alot with more than one physical core assigned to game, you may try to do this: to bypass this problem - lauch game, than Alt+TAB to workspace - go to Windows taskmanager - find needed process (like Suffering or The Suffering) - Set Affinity - mark only one CPU Core active (0 or 1) and game wouldn't crash - that's working for me :))). As for sound – GOG version of game uses bad version of IndirectSound (something like driver), to resolve problem with sound – download newer one version of IndirectSound and put unpacked files to core folder of game (with rewrite old files) and this must work (you also can find some tips and tricks at PCGamingWiki site not only for this game but for other games).

Hi, I wrote this instruction for Windows 7 OS, if you are using Win10 - process may be completely different from what I described.
