Hey everyone,

Is anyone else getting the audio playing in fast-forward when in actual gameplay? It's fine in the opening cutscene, but when I get to the actual game, dialogue sounds like chipmunks. All in fast-forward.

Any suggestions?

Nvm, fixed it. Just needed to turn off 3D Sound and EAX.

Where did you go to switch off the 3D sound?

First of all, I assume we're talking about the first Suffering, since that's the one most people have been having the most trouble with.

If you're using GOG Galaxy, on The Suffering game "page" click More > Other > Settings and you should open a configuration launcher for the game with Graphics and Sound tabs. The options you're looking for are under the Sound tab.

If you're not using Galaxy, look for The Suffering folder on the Windows Start menu, expand it, and select the Settings program. Again, go into the Sound tab and uncheck 3D Sound and EAX.

A minor heads-up: when you click "Save" in the Settings launcher, you'll immediately launch the game.

Also, just in case you are having this issue with Ties That Bind, it also has a (somewhat different) launcher which can be accessed exactly the same ways I mentioned before.
