So there are 2 big stone blocks in the first cave, both have gloving gear signs on them and both are standing on some kind of little rails. And there are rooms with buttons and boxes behind these blocks, i can see that through spaces between the blocks and a wall.
I've spent few hours trying to figure out how to get into those rooms, then I tryed to search for guildes and such - and haven't found any mentions of these blocks with gloving gear signs on them. I tried watching letsplay recordings and walkthroughs on youtube - and I didn't found even a clue on how to get behind these blocks. That wasted another few hours of my life.

Don't worry about those now. In the course of your playthrough, you'll take a long route to the other side of those blocks. Then you'll be able to remove the stops preventing them to slide further into the room, thus opening a shortcut between the area where you are now and later parts of the game. It took me a long time until I realised that as the game makes you think there's a trick to getting around that obstacle.
Thank you.

...damn... this made me waste so much time... I wish developers were adding at least some kind of a clue that would help you to figure out it would open later...

Many times I've seen stuff like this in many other games and very often when I thought "ah, it probably opens later" I had to restart the game later, because stuff didn't open later and in addition to that - I couldn't get back to that location. >_<
And I couldn't even make an additional save game in this place, so if something like that happens - i wouldn't have to restart the game from the beginning and could start here.... *sigh*

The Solus Project is designed so that you can revisit all of the islands, and you will open several shortcuts along the way. So you can always go back for secrets. IIRC there is only one area you cannot return to, but you will receive a notification when you attempt to enter it. Sometimes you need to go back because you lacked the necessary items when you were there last. For example, there is a breakable wall in those tunnels with the stone blocks, but you'll have to craft a sledgehammer and return.

It's hard to undestand without finishing the game or reading about it somewhere. And I don't remember any notices in the game saying that... :(

Yeah, I was worried about that wall too, but I found it somewhere in the guides/videos... And that sledgehammer is almost right next to the exit from the cave on 2nd island. >_>

all you had to do is push the blocks, no need to go all the way round :)
