Hi guys, i've been having a problem with the game where everything pauses (not like pressing 'P') but it all freezes while im moving my mouse around. Everything else in the game runs fine for me, i changed the setting in the desktop shortcut "disable visual themes" but didnt change the pausing problem. The last time i ran this game was probably march and had absolutely no problems so not sure whats gone wrong.

Thanks for your help in advance,
Cheers, Brad.

Could it be you are on the latest AMD drivers?

It seems from this post some issue came up with them: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/800956-Settlers-10th-anniversary-unplayable-with-current-drivers-AMD

If so I can only suggest trying an other driver and/or reporting to AMD.

Regards, Darkje
Hey thanks man, so its a driver problem! Cheers mate, much appreciated, will reintall old driver.

Hi BrAdolf, I have the same issue with the AMD drivers it seems. Can I ask which driver you reverted back to?

Tks
When the game loads to main menu the animated curser (glove} dose not move but you can see when "mouse curser" which is not visible covers & highlights the function keys. How can I get the animated {glove} curser to move as it would do normally?

maybe disable the hardware cursor?

Go to [your install dir]\The Settlers II - 10th Anniversary\data\settings and edit the file engine.ini and set hardware cursor to 0
I had to do a little more to fix my freezing-when-moving-the-mouse-problem:
I had to set hardware cursor to 0 in the engine.ini. Then after the game launched i had to do this:
Go to windowed mode
set resolution to something lower (in my case 1600x900)
go fullscreen (with the new resolution)
- now the bug is already fixed
then i just change back to 1920x1080 and it works for some reason ^^
I have to repeat those steps every time i play. Not perfect, but I'm happy
