Hello,

I've tried to launch a multiplayer game on lan on my 2 pc witch are linked with a switch and it doesn't work..... :(

I'm using the same gog-installer on my two desktop and whenever I create a game, the other deskop is unable to find the game. (the created game doesn't appear)

My others games work fine on the same condition so I think this release may have a problem ...

Thank's for your answer/feedback

PS : I also tried to directly connect my 2 desktop with one RJ45 cable (to try without the switch) and it doesn't work neither.

finally, I think where my problem comes from.

It seems that my 2 computers, that are also connected to internet, use this connexion to try to communicate with each other when searching for lan game....

I succed in join a lan game when my 2 computers are connected to the internet box !! (witch seems to do the same job that a switch)

I think I had to put the lan connexion as the connexion to use in priority !!

Unfortunatly, using "connexion of the internet box" the host game is visible but once launched, it says "waiting for "other" player" and it doesn't work.

Using the "real" lan connexion (with switch), even if it is the one to use in priority, the host game is not visible....
I finally succeded to play a multiplayer game by using "box connexion".
In order to do so, I had to host a game with my second pc ! and the "lan" game worked well !

It's just strange that this game and maybe another (warlord battlecry 2, witch I had problems with) are not using the real lan connexion at home but the connexion provided buy the internet box....
hey I found a workaround to play settlers 4 gog edition via hamachi or tuungle in lan modus.
- Start tuunngle go into the same channel (or hamachi group)
- The host of the game has to do the following now:
When you are in the map selection screen disconnect ur active internet conenction (eg. disable wlan or plug out ur cabel)
- while being offline create the game
- you now should have the tuungle ip in your game now you can connect back and other players can join

if you go back and want to select another map you have to repeat the whole thing.

This worked for me and a friend. Sadly there are some random desync errors from time to time, but this was always the case. Atleast we could finish some games this way.

Please tell me if it worked for you.
just installed settlers 4 again lol :D I heard they've canceled the mp for it so it would be nice to play with someone through Hamachi :) pm me
So does anyone have a good way to play this over Hamachi?
My friend can see my game but cant enter it..
No firewalls blocking..

Any tips are welcome!

open the corresponding settlers 4 ports on your router. they should be:

3000, 3105, 8000, 8001, 9007, 9008, 9009, 10000, 10001, 10002 UDP and TCP

try 3000 and 3105 first, add the others if you still can't join the game. only the host has to open the ports on his/her router.

i did this and could player with a friend over hamachi, but that was some time ago.

if you get a lot of desync errors, save the game A LOT. like at least once every minute. this will keep desync away.

Sorry for the post and thank's for advice with hamachi^^

I found the solution for my problem, the same thing that prevent me playing with local network iwith walords battlecry 2 : just had to set the network as private network and I could join the game :)

Indeed there is problem of "desync", I read somewhere that this problems occurs when playing with IA but not tested the game just with human player so I can't confirm^^.

Good game

We managed to play it on LAN, but the desync bug hit pretty soon. According to some forum posts it is related to AI and was never fixed. We tried with 2 players, 3 AI and got it after a few minutes. Maybe there is no desync without AI (untested), but if you want to play coop against AI, that's not an option.

Saving every mnute is not a sane option, bugs like those should be fixed.

The same here. WE can connect, enter the game, but at the beginning we get the message "Waiting for other player". Please GOG fix this bug.
gog.com when the settlers 4 will work online?
I want my money back
