Tandem.771: Thanks for your effort. I had no luck using that patch though. I did all the steps SlaxVice86 did back in 2013, didn't work. Tried deleting winmm.dll as horkrux suggested, didn't help.
Well, I can only hope that the patch provided help to others at least :)
Make sure to rename the files after converting, thats what caught me out the first time. The .ogg files contain no underscore so you have to rename them after converting (eg Track05.ogg to Track_05.wav).

Yes, I made sure to rename the files as suggested. Unfortunately, it did not change anything :(

SlaxVice86: I have been looking online for a mirror or something... But I haven't been able to find that patch again. It would be nice if someone who downloaded it back in the day uploaded it... Unfortunately, I don't think I've still have it.

As for GOG... Yeah, there are many things they could improve with Settlers III and IV(Settlers 6 had a game breaking problem, and they have release a patch for it, why not these two?)... Settlers III at least got a patch. Settlers IV has yet to see something like that(you can't even play it on some computers, depending on your setup...).

Could somebody post this patch (if it fixes the music issue) somewhere that's accessible, please? The Wayback machine says that the machine serving this page is down. And this has been for a while now.

Please make sure you are using the following offline installer for those of you who do not wish to use Galaxy:

English:

I use the most recent version (22, german version) and the bug is still present. Music plays for one song and then stops. Only ambient sounds. Played the roman and asian compaign so far, both have it.

Well, glad that it was fixed months later. Working in both the English and German version for me. Thank you, Ubisoft. Or should I thank gog for doing what was Ubisoft's job?

Too bad the setup is still partly broken and won't save changes to the music setting. Had to change the value in the registry myself. Tracks are also still in the wrong order and would have to be renamed. Oh well.
