I'm running Settlers 3 (GOG-Version 1.60) on Windows 8 64 Bit and the game crashes on every video like the intro-film and other campaign-videos.
It crahes to the Desktop with the following message-box:
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Programm: [...]\settlers3\S3.exe
abnormal programm termination"
I got the same crash and message when i'm pressing "F1" for the 640x480 resolution. So i guess it crashes not because of the videos alone. Maybe it's a problem with the 640x480 resolution.
I tried to set "Video Quality" to 320x240 in the options, but all videos still crash.
I'm playing on a Intel Core i5, 6GB RAM and Nvidia Geforce GT 620.
