I've followed the troubleshooting page for my system (Windows 7) but my settings aren't restored when I quit and re-load the game, and after completing a mission I'm not able to quit, reload, and start the next mission.

Even if I save a game manually at the end of a mission (e.g. mission 3), quit, reload, load the saved game, wait for it to say 'completed' and exit the map... I can't go onto the next mission.

I used to get several hangs when playing (since installing the reommended version of DirectX, this hasn't happened), so perhaps something got corrupted along the way... ?

I just re-played Mission 1, got to Mission 2, but on quit/reload, all my gfx/UI settings revert to default and I can't select Mission 2.

Anyone any ideas? (yes, I submitted a note to GOG support but I'm impatient and it's the weekend!)
