In general, I prefer to buy from GOG over Steam (and other platforms), does anyone know yet if there are any important differences in terms of updates, etc?

I know Forager for example reportedly has/had disparate amounts of updates, though most games don't have that problem. Might be too early to tell, but if anyone is aware of anything of that nature, it would be good to know. Thanks.

Currently, update are available at the same moment that Steam for this game.

No delay.

Beta/experimental patches seem to strictly go to steam only. Eventually that gets pushed over to public, and all versions across all platforms are usually updated around the same time, with microsoft/sony lagging a bit behind due to getting updates cleared by respective platforms
