Is there going to be an update that adds Galaxy achievements? I will purchse this on GOG instead of Steam if they are added. Please! Demo was a fun as hell!
+1. I've bought the game anyway, but achievements would be a nice bonus.

No achievements, no purchase.

Same for me.

And I also never bought this dev's previous game, either, even though I would have if he had given it Achievements.

I must boycott all of his games until if and when he finally does the right thing and adds Galaxy Achievements to them.
Looks like we're out of luck. From their discord:
We aren't planning to support achievements on GOG and Epic. We're a small team and maintaining so many custom platform APIs creates a huge amount of overhead.
I could not find any mention of in-game achievement display either.

After some more research, the achievements are pretty bland for this game. Kill 1000 this, mine 50000 that, finish the campaign, fill out 75% of bestiary... Things you get just by playing normal completionist playthrough.

Yes it's inferior version from steam and it's likely to remain inferior. I'll probably still get it here. Eventually. Some penalty in form of bigger discount seems fair.

Wow, how very despicable of them!

Thanks for posting that quotation though.

I don't care one iota how small their dev team is. There are other small dev teams on GOG - and even some one-man-only devs - who do give the GOG version of their games Achievements.

But since these devs can't be bothered to give GOG customers equal treatment, then I can't ever be bothered to give them any money.

Hopefully many others also won't, so that their sales will justifiably suffer as a result of their decision not to offer feature parity.

It's not like they give a second-class citizen discount to their GOG customers to compensate for the feature they removed from the GOG version. No, instead they expect the same amount of money from their GOG customers as from their Steam customers.

Yet GOG customers get less for the same amount of money anyway.

That's immoral, and that's a ripoff!
