I love this game. I have a lot of fun with it. But right around GTI 950, the fun starts to get thin and by about TTI 1.0, it feels like its just gone.

There's just nothing left to do. I've unlocked basically everything, I've explored every region on the map, I've done the Scavenger Hunt, I've built up my base to an insane degree, I've got 5 trade rockets in near constant motion thanks to my autocrafters and drones and I even have multiple expansions going just so I have room for all this stuff.

I'm kinda proud of my base but last few times I played the game it felt like I was just twiddling my thumbs, watching the terraforming meter slowly fill up and the game has become something like a chore.

Anyone feel like quitting at that point?

Something like that.

I've only done a complete terraformation 2x times (+1 humble) and both times were on multiplayer. Kinda speeds the whole process up a bit.

So my gameplay experience was somewhat different. There were miscommunications (STOP SENDING THOSE BLASTED ROCKETS!!! I FEEL COMPELLED TO GATHER THE URANIUM!!!) ooh, come here, you gotta see this...

When I played solo I actually did quit. Multiple times.
One giant plus regarding re-plays is that you can choose different starting points.
Watching either the crater fill up, or the ice plains turn into a savannah is a joy to behold.

Once you've seen it though... yeah, there's not really a point terraforming the last 15% or something just for the sake of it...

What I also learned is - when starting a new playthrough - I set the technology tree to ''already fully unlocked''. No use waiting for the research.

You can always upgrade your supply chain. I build a PulsarQuartz factory with 12 autoCrafters for 16 tradeRockets in the desert. The autoCrafters require many resources, so I had to upgrad iridium/uranium/.. production with more extractors and optimizers/productionFuses. Then I had to increase my drone count etc.

If you think you have to wait, maybe you could build machines to increase the terra-forming index. It's best done with optimizers and fuses.

I think it's a kind of freedom to set your own goals, somehow like in Minecraft.
