I haven't seen this on the forums here so I thought I'd post it for people with Linux-based operating systems.

I use Manjaro with the Xfce desktop environment. When I started the game I saw that there was no menu text. This is because proprietary Microsoft fonts are used. There are 3 fixes for this, but I ended up having to use all 3.

What I did:

1. Installed the game using Lutris - no fonts
2. Added core fonts using Winetricks - still no fonts
3. Added the game to Steam as a non-Steam game and ran via Steam - fonts!

You might not need all of these steps, but doing all 3 worked for me.

An amazing game which I can't tear myself away from.

I wonder what Steam does differently that Wine isn't doing.
