I've liked the game so far but every few moments the game freezes. This can be very short but it can also be several seconds before the game continues.

I have a powerful PC so this should not be the cause.

Sorry, it's the auto-save that writes to file that causes the stutter. We are currently working on a solution, by making saving manual and/or less frequent.

I started playing The Longing a couple days ago (meaning I have the most recent version) and, despite the status of this topic, this issue wasn't solved. I detected the stutter happens every 2 minutes, which is frequent enough to bother. Isn't it possible to write to the save files without freezing the game, like running a separate thread or having an in-memory copy of the data so it doesn't need to freeze when it saves (supposing it freezes so nothing changes until the saving is complete)? Or maybe give us the option to change the autosave interval so it gets less frequent (this one seems very easy to implement)? If you're thinking about using the latter, can you please give the option to save at least up to every 30 minutes?

Sorry for the late reply, but the saving system should be much faster now! Does the problem still persist with the latest update?
I finally came back to the game, and now there's no stutter anymore. Thank you!
