Any info on the 9.5 GB update of Dreamfall: Chapters that currently is downloading on my computer?

Pax
Same here. Perhaps it has something to do with ‘The Final Cut’, but I'm not sure.

Neither in the official RedThreadGames Dreamfall Chapters sub forums nor on their Twitter account i was able to find some info. Only thing we can do is to wait :)

There's news for it on Steam though. It's apparently the 5.4.1 patch. Adds in German voices, DX11 support, new opening videos, Unity engine upgrade, and general fixes.

Ah Steam. That makes sense. Guess, copy+paste for GOG was to much work xD

I wonder why we have to update the whole package, since i setup my game in english, because the german synchronization is not the best.

Nevermind.

Thank you, Green Shade

Well from my experience, I would say it's the "Unity engine upgrade" that make us down the all package :/
Happen also with others games using unity and making the upgrade, for example "planet explorer" did that sometime ago and we were forced to redown the all game, the patch would have been almost as big as the game.

Don't expect any Final Cut content before March 24th. I guess Koch Media would have a fit if RTG released the final cut to PC users before the console retail versions were out. :)

Yes, the DX11-supporting Unity engine update. Very nice...! German version supposedly completed, too..!
The file naming convention is completely different too. Rather than "setup_dreamfall_chapters_2.17.0.24" (i.e., GOG-24 for the 64-bit version) you get "setup_dreamfall_chapters_64_5.4.1_(9851)". Presumably this would be GOG-25 in the old scheme (and so I expected something like "setup_dreamfall_chapters_2.17.0.25") but is referred to as GOG-9851. Did this update even pass through GOG vetting other than loading and naming the files? I haven't seen any mention of this change in naming.
