I'd prefer to have it native but if not possible it would be nice to have at least a wine port. Of course I can use wine right now but I like to have the possibility to ask for support if something goes wrong.

the longest journey is not compatible with wine at all. I made a windows xp virtual machine to actually use it since windows xp is the most compatible OS.

Dreamfall TLJ is perfect on wine.

PlayOnLinux has a "TLJ" tweaked wine container for The Longest Journey. It works, but the mouse is a bit glitchy. I watched it on youtube. It doesn't even work on Windows, so it's PlayonLinux or Youtube if you want to see the story.

It's got worse problems than the mouse, unfortunately.

Character placement is bugged on all the larger screens that pan when you move, basically the characters don't pan with it. Already in chapter 1 you run into a situation where you need to talk to someone out of screen that you can't see. This is still possible, but a similar situation in Chapter 3 will halt your progress. In the meanwhile, the experience is quite ruined by having to dance around bugs on many screens.
