I have a somewhat unusual favor to ask. You see, I'm totally stuck in Chapter 3 of Dreamfall Chapters, specifically the part where you have to follow the Azadi runner. He always gets stuck and/or disappears, usually before he even makes it to the bottom of the steps where he first appears. I think I've made close to 60 attempts (though I stopped counting around 20), and only once have I ever managed to track him past the square with the horses -- I saw him at the far end of the street, standing in front of the street sign, but he'd moved on before I could get there. A handful of other times, I was able to track him as far as the exit to the square, but lost sight of him when he turned the corner.

I should mention that my laptop isn't top-of-the-line; movement is often sluggish and looking around is slow and jerky, but up until this point I'd been able to manage. This has me completely stumped, however. I know what I have to do next, but the game won't let me interact with the necessary objects because I haven't been able to follow him far enough to trigger the scene that would allow it. (I'm being intentionally vague here to avoid spoilers, but those who've played the game should know what I'm talking about.)

The only solution I can think of is to send a copy of my last saved game to someone with better hardware than me, and ask them to play the game until the next checkpoint, then email the new save back to me. In fact, I sent an email to the developers yesterday asking them to do just that, but I haven't gotten a reply yet -- and I'm in a bit of a hurry because I'm off work until next Monday and had hoped to finish the game before then. Is there anyone here who'd be willing and able to do that for me? (I should mention, in case it matters, that I'm running the 32-bit version of the game.)

Problem solved -- I borrowed a laptop from my housemate which has a faster processor, installed the game on it, and was able to continue.
