Hello. I uninstalled and I installed the new version of the game "Dreamfall chapters". Now when i select french text language in the settings the game is all in english. When will we have the French subtitles? Thank you in advance.

Sorry all the game is not in english. I loaded previous saves and i see that some parts are all in English and some parts have French substitles in the previous episodes.

French and german localisation for book 3 are not available yet.

Don't think that was a smart move the last time; why repeat that crap? Didn't you learn from the response?

Because it WAS a smart move. It's quite obvious that there's not nearly enough time to properly translate and voiceover in RTG's episodic schedule. It just_can't_be_done. As a result, the number of fuckups in the German translation was massive. You give them a bit of time... and they can do their work far better.

I mean, just look at Telltale and their episodes... they've simply given up to attempt this, and they have nowhere near the text load as found in Chapters.

The mistake really was to put German voices into Book 1 on release. That wasn't the smartest move. :(

TTG are american, but RTG are european developers.
Germany is a huge market for adventure games, and also the german language is spoken by the majority of europeans.

That's why RTG was able to secure a deal with EuroVideo, and indeed the German voiceover is the only one attempted to be included from the get-go besides English.

But... episodic game is still episodic. ;) NORWEGIAN developers. Dreamfall Chapters has even received Norwegian government grants.

And still RTG did their best to deliver German language right after English... not Norwegian... no subtitles, no voiceover. I sincerely believe that tells us something.

Ugh, not that much unfortunately. On Tuesday, Ragnar Tørnquist said that the localisations were 'in testing' and they hope they can push the button in a few days. That doesn't seem to mean "before the weekend", unfortunately. :(
