WHY does every frickin JRPG do this! the game is relatively easy up until the last eighth of the game. Now i can't even get this boss to half health. I've been going through this slog of a game. Go here go there, kill this, talk to this person. Now i'm at the final Schoolhouse boss fight and i can't do anything to it. Not even close. What more am i supposed to do? I did every sidequest, never skipped battles, and now can't even get close to beating this boss... makes me want to quit playing ugh.

This happens in at least half the JRPGs i have played. Final boss is way harder than anything else you have dealt with. I get that it's the final (maybe) boss, but still that giant jump up in difficulty is very frustrating...a nd i just want to be done with this game

Which game are you talking about? Cold Steel 1 or 2 ? Also usually with JRPG you do need to grind a little (Never did that with the legend of heroes games). Always try to have 200CP when entering a boss and always have a healer such as Elliot which he is also very good with water arts). If I remember correctly in My party I always had Rean, Elliot, Laura and last party member was usually Crow in CS1, Sarah , Fie , or Jusis in CS2... Also don't be afraid to experiment with orbemnts and try different combinations. If you want to cheat your way you can make Rean delay every enemy attack.
