Are the achievments of ToC II disabled?

Because I do not seem to be getting any, like the 3,0X for instance or the end of a chapter.

The latest version has a bug that prevents achivements to unlock. Use galaxy to revert to the previous version. Even though you won't get a pop-up when you unlock an achievement, after you close the game the achievement will be unlocked.

But if I revert to the older version, it will not damage my saving games by any chance, right? :)

I don't think it will damage your save files , I think I did the same thing. The saves should be compatible but just in case keep an offline backup of them (cloud saves might mess them)
