I've just finished Chapter 4 in SC. Did the Nostalgic Recipe quest, turned it in no problem, then did the two Monster quests. Whenever I try to turn in the Milch Road quest, the game freezes for a second, then crashes on me, which means I can't turn in any other sidequests, or possibly ANY quests. If that's the case, I might be unable to progress at all!

Mind you, I also have the Esmelra Tower Monster quest ready to turn in, so I don't know if that's affecting anything, but when the text for Milch Road quest pops up, the game crashes before it can finish.

Maybe try and launch the directx8 version of the game and see what happens..You will find the .exe file in the games installation directory...Another thing you can do is change some graphical settings..If you have windows 10 sometimes every update they have seems to break some games..If nothing works you should try and contact xseed
I didn't see a DirectX8, but I found a DX9 in the folder, so I tried turning in the quest after running the game through that. That didn't work. The only in-game graphics options I had changed recently was transparency, so I turned it back, launched it through that same file... again, no dice.

So yeah, I'll have to call support it seems. Thanks for trying.

The directx8 version is the file ed6_win2.exe and the config file Config2.exe.You can only launch the directx8 version from the installation folder and not from galaxy 2.0 (You can launch it if you have the older gog galaxy version I believe it is the 1.2 version) so If you ever decide to play with the dx8 version you will not unlock any achievements etc...I had a lot of problems with the directx9 version such as crashing when entering a house or a battle it need about 5 seconds for it to start...Try again and see if you can find it if not send an email to xseed.
If you want you can always save in front where you end the quest then send me the save file and I will see if it crashes. If not I will complete it and send the file to you again.
