I've played through the same section of the game a few times now, doing things while Wolff is having her concert with Kronos, but I always end up with a game over at Vienna.

So what is it I need to do during the concert and before I reach Vienna? Here's my checklist so far:

* Stealing the master key
* Borrowing the gold from Kronos
* Showing the gold to August
* Delivering the gold back to Kronos
* Capturing the beetle
* Trading the beetle with the kid

According to walkthroughs, one thing I'm supposed to do is get into the count's compartment (compartment A) and steal the egg that's hidden in his bathroom underneath the sink. But whenever I look, there's no egg there.

So how do you "activate" the egg? What do I need to do to make sure the egg is there so I can steal it? Or is the egg kept somewhere else? And will getting the egg before the concert is over mean I won't get a game over?

Any help would be much appreciated!

At the beginning of the game, the egg is with Wulff, who took it from Tyler's room. At this point it's out of reach, because of Max guarding the room. She suspects that someone is after the egg and knows she has it, so she hands it over to Tatiana for savekeeping. Now it's also out of reach, because videogames. However as soon as the concert starts, Tatiana goes to the bathroom between her's and her grandfather's compatment and put's it behind the little door under the sink. At this point you can get it from there.

EDIT:
To survive you need to get the gold from Kronos, show it to Schmidt after the concert, otherwise he will unload his mearchendise and the Servians will kill you. You also need to take a look at the merchandise yourself, otherwise you will miss an event which will lead to one of the deaths of another passanger and beeing a fugitive, you'll get arrested and blamed.

The beetle can be caught and traded well before the concert. I think it appears in the morning of the second day.
