When i was playing the game, sometimes the characters are missing their voices and this pretty much breaks the game's rich dialogues for me.

another bug i noticed was in the scene where laura can cross the bridge where the crazy old man is sitting, if i click on a point of interest while she is walking on the bridge, the game gets stuck and forces me to restart in the last checkpoint.

Found a typo (attached).

And another thing. It's near the end, so *spoiler alert*

I play the English version.
After you free Laura's father, when he is messing with a basylian, the background sign where you took the "!" is in German (Achtung), while when you actually play the game and take the "!", the sign is in English (Caution).

I have just started playing this game. I am seeing the missing voices issue fairly frequently and I've only just started the game.

Is it possible this will be patched for the GOG version? I noticed that all inquires regarding a patch
are years old with no confirmation if a patch will ever come.

Should I give up in hoping this issue will be fixed ?

I don't think so. i played the game during its release and if what you say that the issues still persists then i guess they never patched it. you could try looking in their website for a patch, or just deal with it and play through while giving the game an honest review pointing out the bugs.

I did manage to finish the game with the missing dialogues and black screen ending instead of credits.
Despite both those issue, I very much enjoyed the game! I do not believe that the 2 issues took that much
away from the overall experience. It was very fun to play and I would recommend playing it and not worry about the issues.

Just want to add another minor bug which may also contain a spoiler:

When using the incomplete handicraft on the fosfos with color moths, the background tree branch may still contain the rope ladder even though you put up the golden carpet leading to some confusion.
