Thanks for this update, and for bringing it to our attenion. ;-)

It's raised a possible problem: I bought the new Guild bundle just a day or so ago, and used the Downloader to grab the code. I'm certain that I had the download to the English version, but I've just discovered in initiating the patch download that what it gave me was the German version. Maybe there's an issue with the links there?

Sorry of this is the wrong place to write this. I thought a heads-up might be useful for others.

No apologies necessary, mate. And in re-reading my post, it sounds like I was cross. I wasn't, so *I* apologise. ;-)

My concern is getting the wrong download. I remember seeing the extra downloaded both the English and German manual, so I checked that i had the English language installer selected (I don't speak german, unfortunately), but I still got the German installer downloaded. That's why I was wondering if the link was broken somehow.

If no-one else had this problem, then I'll write it off as a momentary aberration. I assume I'm safe to delete the German installer?

My antivirus (Norton) kept deleting the patch file on me. First time it's ever complained about any file from GOG, but it was only some BS reputation thing called "WS.Reputation.1". (just means not a lot of people told them it was ok yet)

Yeah, there's something broken.

First I had the problem I reported yesterday, of the Downloader grabbing the German version of the game's installer, even though I had the language setting as English, now today I'm getting a false flag for an update.

I've launched Downloader, but it sees the files on my local hard drive as the same as those on the server, and downloads nothing. So the new Update flag is a Dragonsphere.

Also, while there's an Update flag on my account at the top of the page, if I go to my game shelf, the game itself is not flagged. But if I use the display option at the top of the page to show only "New & Updated", then this one game is shown, and on that display the game *is* flagged.

Anyone else seeing the same? I'm detailing this in case it's useful to point to an apparent problem.

One problem I'm not having is installing the update. No errors on the update installation for me. (FWIW)

Seems updated installer will be good too for who getting errors :(

I also get this one first then when i tried again, I got the I mentioned.

I managed to get a clean install as follows:

* Uninstall The Guild 2 - Pirates of the European Sea
* Install The Guild 2 - Pirates of the European Sea
* Do NOT run the game
* Install the patch
