So... I just bought The Guild 2 Renaissance and I was asking myself which mods and patches should I apply to my game, since people talks about it on the release thread but haven't seen anything expecific that could guide me.

Also, I read about fanpatches, but haven't found any of them, just a list of mods that indeed look pretty great:

I don't know about the fan patches but you should apply this patch 4.17 beta now to make your game more stable and enjoyable http://www.runeforge-games.net/index.php?id=110
I contacted Judas (one of the mods) and gave him links to the new patches for Renaissance and Pirates. He should have them up when possible.
I think Legacy is recommended in that it adds new features, kills some bugs that were in the initial game (but also introduce new, if the trade off is worth it I don't know) but also a good focus to reduce Out of Sync errors in multiplayer.

In case anyone is interested on this before Judar open that sticky (thanks micktiegs_8), yesterday I downloaded the 4.17B Update and then installed the Legacy mod pack that I found on this thread.

Still searching for any recommendation, but by now this seems pretty solid.

There is a patch no. 4.20 on the way, like in 3 days or so on nordicgames forum.

new, official patch 4.20 is up. Forgo that legacy stuff because it brings a butt load of bugs with it.

There is Fajeth's MegaMod currently at release 0.7. On guild3 dot info site.

McCoy's Legacy Mod 2.0 is a 4.211 version. Link is available and he seems to be updating on the steam community board while runeforge is down.

I assume Legacy 2.01 but I don't know where to report bugs if you find thiem. OTOH, MegamMod's Fajeth is active on the steam boards.
McCoy (Legacy) has posted a bit on the Steam Legacy board. According to him Quicksave/Autosave should be disabled - problem is in the game, not the Mod. Can cause corruption when they overwrite a file.

The MegaMod is next to McCoys Legacymod the biggest mod project for Renaissance. It enhances the gameplay by a lot, fixes tons of bugs, introduces new items, a new balance, new measures for the professions and a complete overhaul of the AI

You can find the most recent version on the gilde2 . de / social board (can't post links for some reasons)

Also if you have any questions or trouble you will get help on the gilde2.de board

If you want to play the mod in a different language, you can find translation-files and further instructions on the board (look for translation-kit)

Important note: If you decide to install the mod, you need to delete the "Scripts"-folder before you extract everything to the main game folder (where your guildII.exe is)

So, it is strongly suggested to use this mod instead of Legacy Modpack ?
