Guild 3

A few tiny fix's that helped me launch the game after hours of furious search's
Be aware it may not help some cases.

Problem:
Graphics problem stopping launch of game, white screen popup error occurs, leading no where, but doom n gloom,
Ths error stopped me launching the game & I found it very dissapointing that I had to work out a solution.

Attention:
You can skip Steps 1 to 3 & just do Step 4 to 5 to see they work straight off the bat.
Otherwise,
just follow steps 1 - 5 for full teething problems to try & help solve it.

Note:
Make sure Step 1 & 2 are installed or fixed in Step order.

Step 1.
Find, download & Install DirectX june 2010. from www.microsoft.com
Copy & past file named below into Microsoft's website Search, (top right).

directx_Jun2010_redist.exe

Once downloaded:
Install into empty folder of your choice.
Use executable unpacked in that folder to install it.
once installed.

Step 2.
Find, download & install DirectX web installer
Copy & past file named below into Microsoft's website Search, (top right).

dxwebsetup.exe

Once downloaded:
click executable to install it.

Step 3.
Check & Download your latest graphic drivers from nvidia'a website,
or any other graphic website your card is made by.
Download, Run & Install it.

Step 4.
Delete the only file set in your documents folder below,
This will reset the graphics mode for Guild3.
Note:
Use this Step 4 everytime after you've tried to launch guild3 & it does not load giving white screen popup.
Delete the only file contained within the folder below.

C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\guild3\

Step 5
This was my simple solution after all that effort I found to do.
Right click desktop
Change Your Screen Resolution to 1280x768
Reset Computer
Launch the guild 3 game from gog galaxy or on its own,
Once game has launched & game menu appears.
Click game options.
Run a few tests on different graphic options selecting ones that may best suit you for now.

Note: when you choose a new graphic option you have to restart the game each time to test them.
