yes, same for me, any news?
I have the same issue. It counts up to 100% and then starts again counting up to 20% before the crash.
It seems to be also in the steam version, see here: steamcommunity.com/app/403970/discussions/3/1488866813766470223/
At least there seems to be someone that got an answer from the devs - they seem to be working on it and will patch it. I hope the patch will also get into the GOG version.
The developer responded me back in October they are sorry, but don't know, how to fix it.

I've overcome the crash using windows version running in wine. You can take save from linux version (located in ~/local/share/dwarves) just before entering the Ogre's death and put it to wine (~/.wine/drive_c/users/<user>/Local Settings/Application Data/dwarves), play through whole Ogre's death and then transfer the save back to linux.
It just now happened to me. Save game to 20% and then crash. Well, another Linux version of a GOG game thats a piece of crap. Thanks GOG for allowing developers to do this to us. I finally got the graphics fixed by changing some settings and then this. Just great.
I put in the bug report for that crash last year. Imagine my surprise when I received a reply this morning saying they finally fixed the bug, and that the patches should be going out.

Correct. I also opened a bug report for the issue and had several messages with their support team. They were really informative and friendly. The ticket was closed and I believe we will get the patch soon.
Has anybody gotten word of the availability of the Linux patch? So far I haven't seen any evidence of the existence of the thing beyond the email from support.
I can confirm that the bug was fixed and the update to 1.2.1 is available on GOG.
