Hello, can someone give some hints what I am suppossed to do here?

First, I was told to follow the wisp, okay. Then the game told me I can summon another one but that one just flew a minor way and dissapeared. Then again, I could not summon anymore. Do I need those white cloud things to fuel this summoning?

Am I supposed to just walk around until I randomly find some places where the visions start?

What are the symbols at the left and middle bottom of the screen?

Is there no manual?
