I'm running a dual core intel processor (not the i series) with 8Gb RAM and 64 bit Windows 7.
Game runs like a dream, in fact rather faster than I remember it from my old Amiga days (can't imagine why, lol).

But each time I play I get as far as the first set of keys. the bushes vanish, the bugs appear and the game freezes but the music still plays. Windows is still running and responsive, CPU is normal, memory is fine, but it always seems to be at this one point.

Anyone else having freezing issues or know what might be causing it or a cure?

EDIT: It isn't just this one point, it can freeze anywhere but I rarely get past this point. Doesn't matter whether it is windowed or full screen. It completely freezes although I can still get to the menus on the window and close the window, but the game just stops.

I know I'm replying to a several year old post but it doesn't seem like anyone else is talking about this issue here. FWIW, I do have the same issue, also using a by now old core 2 duo processor. I'll try it with an AMD Ryzen when I upgrade and hopefully that will fix it.
To be honest, until I got the forum update ping on my screen today, ik'd all but forgotten about this game and decided to dig it out and reinstall it. I can't believe it has been five years!!!

I'm now running an AMD processor and all seems fine with the game, got the keys and then happily carried on .... for all of 30 seconds before being killed. I need to dig out my game controller or joystick, this game is a nightmare on keys :)

Nut, with AMD it definitely appears to be working.

Thanksa P:rinsback, yet another reason for me never to leave the house again ;)

Hi there,
Sorry for necro but I have just faced the same issue. The game ran fine on Vista 32-bit, but once I have installed Win 7-64 it starts to freeze unexpectedly. Also, I have noticed that there are slowdowns wich I have never experienced before. Multiple in windowed mode and virtually single prior to the freezing.
(Intel Core 2 Duo 2.00 Ghz, 3Gb RAM, GeForce 105M128 Mb). Is there any solution now?
