Every time I try to go down the stairwell at the very beginning of the game, the sound stutters and the game freezes before crashing to desktop.

EDIT: After some trial and error I discovered the problem was due to PhysX. The game apparently wants to use the 32 bit files included with the game, while my NVIDIA card is using 64bit PhysX. De-selecting PhysX in the game options fixed the crash and allowed me to complete the first scenario.

Hope this info may help others. Great game BTW. I played it on Steam when it first came out and am enjoying the replay a lot!
