Using the Windows Event Viewer, I discovered these crashes had something to do with PhysXCore.dll (version 2.8.4.8), located in the game folder under \Binaries\Win32. So I went digging around my hard drive, and discovered multiple different versions of PhysXCore.dll in the PhysX installation directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\). One of the versions was 2.8.4.11. Next, I simply replaced the older version (2.8.4.8) with the newer one.
