Okay, I've just finished Banner Saga 3, and while it was super fun, I've encountered a really weird bug that left me severely confused about part of the story.

I'd appreciate if someone who had the same problem could answer without spoiling what might have been or anything that I might maybe discover on a second playthrough, if it's at all possible.

So, ok. I was surviving in an increasingly hostile Arberrang. I was at the point where Zefr arrives and SERIOUSLY, MASSIVE SPOILERS FROM NOW ON Alette died because I chose to let the dredge in. So far, understandable. A superb "Red Wedding" type of moment where the character gets killed off logically, in part because he did what was actually righteous. Then there were a couple of fights, and a counter appeared on my screen, announcing that after a given number of days (depending on people in my caravan, ressources, etc), Arberrang "will fall". So, I was expecting to fight on both fronts, and hold up my own against warped dredge in Arberrang while also guiding Iver's caravan in the underworld.

Then, it got weird. I never got back to Arberrang (I kinda got from cursory internet search that I was supposed to) to play there ever again. I was with Iver's caravan, then we got to the crossing of the frozen sea, then Juno was crushed by the serpent, and then the werdness realy began. After the episode where she comes back from the dead and speaks to Iver again and explains everything, I got back to Arberrang super briefly once, text flickered onscreen so quickly that I had no time to read it (it never happened before), it showed the city in the background, and Oddleif said something like "I can only think about simple comforts. food. rest" or something, and then the view was back to the underworld, but the caravan was not the Ravens' one anymore, but all the characters from the Arberrang storyline. Whenever story was happening in text boxes, it was Iver and co speaking, but the screen showed Oddleif's caravan moving arounf, and battles only let me chose Oddleif's caravan's memebers. Except in dialogues, the Ravens were nowhere to be seen. Basically, it went like this until the Bolverk fight (I still had to fight it with Oddleif's caravan's fighters), and then the game ended. I never got back to Arberrang, never knew what happened there (apart from a brief cutscene at the end showing the caravan had indeed survived and Aleo singing the poem).

I'm left very confused. Is this a known bug that happened to anyone else? The "switching" of caravans? Was I supposed to get back to Arberrang before the counter run off to play out some of the story there? The game never let me, apart from the brief moment (the counter of days remaining showed "0" then) where some text went by super quickly onscreen, as I said. Basically, I have no idea how anyone survived in Arberrang, and am probably missing part of the story. Is that true?

Sorry for the super long message, but I thought telling where exactly I was in the game and what happened could help.

I had the same problem and stopped playing. Then i loaded a previously save and i go back to Arberrang but nothing can be clicked.
Propably we must wait for a patch
This is an issue that's resolved in the next build, which we plan to put out in the next few weeks. Thanks so much for reporting it and for your patience.
