I just wanted to say well played to the GoG guys. The 7th guest was my first pc game (came with our first pc) and when I got the Win 95 version some years later, I learned that a line had been edited out of the intro sequence. I know it is really minor but still, when you grew up with Ego saying "How did I get here? I remember...nothing." only to have the "how did I get here?" get removed in the win95 version, it's a bit jarring, so yeah, thanks GoG for keeping my nostalgia and love for the 7th guest intact.

It wasn't removed in the Windows version, it's just buggy and won't play the sound correctly on newer computers. You should be thanking the ScummVM team, they're the ones who actually did all the work back in early 2009. The GOG version is really just running in ScummVM.
Ah thank you for clearing that up, I was unaware the windows version had a bug, the faster frames were nice though. One thing I can safely say thanks to GOG for is the inclusion of the Soundtrack, which is a cd purchasable on Amazon that goes by the title 7/11. I wanted that cd and thanks to you I got it as a bonus.
