I of course run the game with Pangrav.bat (instead of Pandora.exe or Tex4.exe) and the game loads up with 44 midi patches as I gather it's supposed to, but whenever the midi music begins there is this weird snare-drum roll/hand-clapping sound in the background that drives me insane...;) It's obvious the GUS emulation through DOSbox .74 is the highest-quality midi (by far) in the game but these noises in the background ruin it. Dropping back to SB 16 midi emulation is a decided downgrade in the quality of the midi track--or, that would be the case if not for the strange noises in the GUS emulation. In the game's config.ini file it doesn't matter if I set "digital drums" to on or off--I still get the noise (which does sound like drums gone way bad...;))

I use the DOSbox GUS emulation with a number of other games and it works terrifically well--this is the only game in which I have had this problem.

Anyone have any advice? (Thanks in advance.)

Problem solved...should you have a similar problem, just grab these three patched instrument files and copy them to your ultrasnd\midi directory, overwriting the
files there by the same name.

Moderator: You can list this one as solved. Thanks!
