I'm new to these Tex Murphy games

when you find clues through out the game, Is there a place where they get saved?
Under a Killing Moon, Pandora Directive and Overseer feature a hint system, but you need to pay your points for using it.
I'm more talking about things such as

the suspect had red hair etc......... for when you use that crime computer

or do i have to write them down.
Ahh, Day 1's Mick Flemm case.

If you don't want full solution yet, then I think there are only two methods.
- every time when you get a clue, go back to your office and put it in the computer. If I remember correctly, Crime Link should remember it when you turn it on again.
- write the clues. When you get all, go to your office and put everything at once.
I'm replaying Under a Killing moon for the Billionth time, but for some reason the CrimeLInk computer doesn't work. I've entered all the clues and it just sits there. ???
