Having completed the game now, I have some questions about potential plot holes (yes this is another one of those posts!).

The question is about the mail that Ariel picked up from the Golden Gate Hotel.

Now, Holly's protocols only give out limited information about guests - only indicating if they're a current guest or were a past guest. Yet for some reason someone can just come in and pick up a guest's mail?

Sure she may have said she was his wife and/or Holly may have security flaws in that area. She does after all keep a scan of the envelope (?) and freely gives this information to Tex.

The return address was the Beach House, so Mason must have been the one who sent it. So why would Mason send mail to himself? And why then not pick it up? Holly's response to the question about Mason suggests he's no longer a guest there - so he must have checked out. So did the mail get there after he checked out? Did he actually leave it for Ariel in the first place?

And what was in the mail? Is this ever answered (e.g. the Ariel path - which I haven't chosen yet)?

This is not answered in the Ariel path as far as I know. It may be answered in the upcoming novel.
