I have gone through all 19 pages of topics seeking an answer, but so far, nothing is working and I simply cannot get the game to run.

It crashes almost instantly after clicking "Continue" on the launcher. The resolution changes, and sometimes I hear about 1 second of music with no visuals, before displaying the error message "OVERSEER.EXE has stopped working."

I have tried:
- Adding Overseer.exe as a DEP exception
- Many compatibility modes: Admin, 95/98/XP/Vista, 640x480, disabling visual, desktop, scaling etc.
- Shutting down all programs suggested by launcher
- Setting lockvideo in the ini to -1

Clicking additional information includes the following:
Fault Module Name: TexDll.dll
Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0
Fault Module Timestamp: 50dcd141
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 00001d42

I bought Overseer in the bundle, and didn't look at each individual page to see that they were not all Win7 compatible. Ironically, Pandora Directive (which I had oreviously) ran fine. However, one of the big perks of buying from GOG is compatibility, and it also sounds as though many Win 7 users are able to run it just fine. I'm out of ideas... are there any solutions I missed? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I have the same error is there any solution?
The game has been crashing on me too.

I start the game well enough when it loads Tex's Office there's an error message saying "Error: Error code does not indicate an error" and then I can look around in Tex's office and play the game but it just crashes eventually. It seems to happen while looking at different menus.

Is there general buggyness with this game on windows 7 or what?

error message just means you have selected the wrong midi in the config panel of overseer, change it to midi mapper

Thanks dude, appreciated.
I found a solution.....

I have installed Sandboxie --> sandboxie.com/
Start the explorer in Sandbox mode
Start the Gamelink from the sandboxed Explorer....

The issue looks like the sounddriver installed on my System
Same here, just crashes immediately, also running Windows 7 64-bit

Uninstalling the community codec pack did it for me (Windows 8.1 here). I did not need to update ffdshow, use compatibility mode, use DEP or any of the other suggestions.
