I can get one of the Tex games free from GOG as part of the Project Fedora Kickstarter, but I've actually already got the last three on disc and the first two from when GOG gave them away as an anniversary freebie.

I've got UAKM and PD running nicely, so I'd probably go for Overseer (which I haven't played yet) if there's any major advantage of the GOG version over the CD version. If not, I might just do a giveaway.

So, should I stick with the CD version and be generous, or grab a GOG copy for ease of use?

well if you want to play on a 64 bit system use the gog version, if you are just using 32 bit the original cd are fine. I do find overseer runs better from the hard drive & no disk swapping. overseer doesn't run in order of the disks, you will find yourself going to one disk to another which is a pain unless you mount ISO images of the disks in a virtual drive..
Hi Plumgas. I noticed you said the GOG version of Overseer plays ok for you, can you tell me what kind of PC you're using? I have a Win 7 and not only does Overseer NOT work for me (and I can't get any help from GOG to get it to work) but it won't even download. This is extremely frustrating. NOW, I've just began play Pandora Directive and have gotten to the Dagger chamber and find I can't get the daggers to stay in the holders on the altar. I do them all and the screen just stays on the altar as if I haven't done anything. This is one of my favorite games and neither game is working for me. Do you have any suggestions for either situation/game? Thank you.

I bought the CD version from GOG.

At first, it failed and crashed. I added the executable to DAP (check google) for buffer overflow. Now, it works.

Still, the DVD version does not work.

the daggers are tricky at first, they do go in. point the tip in the hole .
overseer should download okay, what actually is it doing. make sure the 3 files are downloaded in the same place . 1 exe file & the 2 bin files. my pc is just a windows pc.
