When i try running the game i get Direct Draw Init Failed Set Display Mode failed anyone know how to fix this im runnin on win7 64

haven't seen this one before, check what your compatibility mode is on the exe file

i run it as admin. and i have used all compatability modes available

I too am getting this error, and my computer ran Overseer just fine a few weeks ago.

see if you had a driver update through windows update & at one time my overseer wouldn't work with an updated video driver & I had to go back to the previous one

I'm using Windows 8 64 and had exactly the same problem.
I set the game to admin and XP(SP3) - my first guess - and it works fine.

I think it's a combination of the drivers one has. The game runs at a max 800x600 so your machine has to be capable of that resolution (or lower)
