Hi, as the title says I have 1 Amber Mosquito that summons a baby dinosaur pet, and I want to trade it for Flamelash - the controllable fireball that I had but mishandled in the inventory and can't find it anywhere (it's probably gone to the trash or some chest in the world somewhere or even dropped). Since I haven't played multiplayer yet it would be best if you suggest a server where we can meet and trade.
The Amber Mosquito is one of the rarest items in the game. Flamelash is almost guaranteed to be in a shadow chest in every map, and it is a fairly poor spell once you've gotten into Hardmode.

My suggestion would be to make a new world, bring your character (with the Shadow Key in your inventory) and dig to the underworld and look for shadow chests until you find a Flamelash. If you desperately want it. Otherwise, the Demon Scythe that is a random drop (2% chance) from Demons is a superior spell.
I got it in one of my old small worlds :) Btw I don't use it for combat, but rather for exploration - it's invaluable in that domain - the light particles flowing from the fireball lights up half the screen beneath them (down scouting), combine that with the Starfury's stars lighting - the upward scouting and you've got pretty useful tools for vertical cave exploration :).

Anyway, the offer still stays, but changed 1 Amber Mosquito for 1 Chain Knife + 1 Whoopie Cushion :)

I personally find Spelunker Potion to be far more useful in exploration scenarios, adding Shine and Night Owl potions to the mix makes it even easier. This means I can have any tool/weapon ready at all times instead of relying on 2 specific low damage weapons.

That's 3 Bottled Water, 2 Daybloom, 2 Blinkroot, 1 Moonglow, 1 Glowing Mushroom and 1 Gold/Platinum ore for a much improved vision. If you've set up a small greenhouse (say 5 pots for each type of plant) you'll easily have far more materials to make potions with than you'll be able to use.

Not that your method is wrong, just presenting my own.
keep the mosquito ...the flamelash is worth nothing in hardmode....if u want a better version: u can craft a rainbow rod near the beginning of hardmode...its a similar weapon just much stronger and with nice light effects :)

...if u want it because of a collection i can gice u one if u want...if u want it for the light i can give u a fairy bell or an whisp in a bottle......(pre hardmode the flaregun is a very good source of light)
