I was so happy about this update, but it really wrecks the balance of a formerly rather relaxing experience. The fotography mechanic especially poses next to unsolvable problems which end in total frustration.

And of course, with new game mechanics come new bugs, and god knows when GOG will get a patch. I now have a save where the recycling robot can't move and can't recycle. Which isn't that much of a loss because there's no way to collect all the structures he was supposed to recycle anyway.

But at least I got all the nuclear waste sites under control - I had to restart the map four times to even receive a layout where that's possible. Guys, if you're posing problems for the player that are simply not solvable, you don't know your game design, and you can't claim to make a "relaxing" game.

Other things in this release:

- the game now crashes, I can't remember it did that before.

- massive memory leaks destroy the relaxing atmosphere.

- half of the world map is now permanently blocked by rolling credits.

So apparently the Steam version got their first update over the weekend.

Over the weekend.
GOG version still at 1.2.2.

I've attached a screenshot how the Steam forums for the game look right now.

I guess I'll have to ask for my money back. The 2023 kind of money.

Yeah, and they released the FIRST hotfix FOR 1.2.5.

This is plainly just embarrassing.

If it were a first person shooter i would think the same, the same version of the game should appear for all platforms at the same time, so that all players have the same learning curve.

But since it's more a puzzle i consider it okay to change to a more stable version after having fixed some of the major problems which appeared in the steam version.

Bugfixing and adapting software takes time, but the result will be better and not create a feeling of being a betatester for the software company. It might still have gog influenced errors but the major ones are already repaired.

What result? gog customers don't see a result. They cannot test and value it.
Because it's just not there!
