Looks like you can at least always uncensor it yourself, with a little effort.
That's a compromise I can live with, if the GoG build should be indeed the "no tits please, we're American"-version too.

Curiously, the GOG version does not have a content rating like the Steam version, so maybe it is uncut. Well, if nothing else, I hope the workaround works in this one.

According to the article, the cut was only needed for consoles. Giving us this version on PC is for me a sign of laziness.

I'm not a playstation customer, I won't buy a game censored because of Sony's policy.

I doubt it was laziness since they had to alter the files on each version, which takes effort. More just that they (or the publisher) wanted all versions to be the same, which is pretty typical. You can easily bring back the bewbs, so I don't think it matters much.

Instead of going through all the steps mentioned in the OneAngryGamer article wouldn't it just be easier to delete the censored scene and rename the uncensored scene to the name of the censored one? You can also change the FOV by altering the configuration file instead of needing to inject additional code to access the dev console.

I unpak'd the game and compared the censored and uncnensored files with a hex editor; the code is the same with one exception -- Jennifer's "censored" scene contains a set of candles for additional light.

Here's the thing; Jennifer's "censored" scene is the one that plays in the game, but it STILL has the nudity -- it's just hidden by the camera zoom. Now, the cine-camera actor has its own FOV value, so tweaking the FOV via ini file will not change the zoom in the cut scene (the ini file only affects the player camera actor, which is separate) so you have to override it with the console command.

What benefit would they have from keeping all version censored? If it is to forecome angry consoleplayers, for having an inferior version, they could redirect their anger to Sony/Microsoft as "Look, we were forced to do so."

I'm just saying there's been numerous examples and comments about how publishers want content parity across versions. Also Americans are weird about boobs, they're blaming it on MS and Sony but I bet the publisher wouldn't want a "boob version" out there either. They already got ripped apart on sites like Eurogamer and Kotaku for even having sex in the game at all. Christian morality shaping your society is a bitch.

Anyway, I don't see a point to being super mad about it like you are, but your decisions are your own obviously.

If you read between the lines, they mean their publisher made the decision.

I got with Baron and Jennifer in the game. Baron was tame and you see her backside before the scene is played through. Most anything needing to be "censored is off screen" however with Jen it that was meant to be censored well the term "nip slip" comes to mind. Either way that chicks FREAKY eyes ruin it regardless. So weather this is censored or not, no one is really missing out on anything here at the end of the day.

They only look akward because of the absurd amount of camera zoom used to hide the breasts. The meshes are not made to take into account viewing at very narrow or very wide view angles. They look much better with a wider FOV as shown by the videos below (links are NSFW)
