MadOverlord.755: I've crafted a couple things, like a shielding brooch, which SEEMS to have unlimited charges. Will it run out eventually? Honestly, I pass it around 4 characters and share it like a community cigarette. I would keep it to a minimum if it ran out.
Wondrous items all have different rules on how many charges they have, and so forth - it's kind of a "miscellaneous" category of magic item. Most of the items are from official d&d 3.5 content, and can be found
here. The Brooch of Shielding, in pen and paper, can absorb up to 101 points of damage from magic missiles. It appears that in ToEE they changed this;
this is the in game item, and it shouldn't have run out of charges (although it can only be used 3 times per day). That site, incidentally, contains information on all the vanilla items as implemented by ToEE, although it doesn't cover Co8 items.
As for the Helm, which is an item made up by Co8, it's got unlimited charges and explicitly serves the purpose of saving you from having to rest 30 times to identify all your scrolls and potions at high levels.
