Hello,

I just bought the game this morning.

First thing I did after installing was install the Co8 mod.

I then ran the TOEE-FE. It did it's thing. When I try to activate the Circle of 8 Modpack 5.9.2 beta, the program hung up.

So I have tried playing without making that active, and leaving just the TOEE active.
I decided I would try the game with only the TOEE active. So I ran the game, I made 5 characters, adn then I pressed the Begin Adventure button.

It opens me up inside a dungeon, none of my characters, aside from the lone fighter, has any equipment other than fram garb. The fighter was given a rapier which was his specialty weapon.

Now...according to the manual...when I hit that begin adventure button I was supposed to be able to buy equipment.

Anyone know why I was never given that option?

I have 5 level 1 characters (Fighter, Rouge, Cleric, Sorcerer, Wizard) armed only with a single rapier and a few spells. In one room I have a small air elemental and a chest with 2 potions a key and some gold pieces.

Once I get that key and open the other room I am faced with two zombies. The party wipe happens shortly after that.. In 6 attemtpes I have managed to kill one of the zombies before my fighter finally succumbs.

While I am waiting for an answer I am trying to make the mod active again....it switched to Not Responding within 30 seconds of me saying it was ok to continue. I have now left it in that state while I have typed this message, and taken the trash out...so for around 5 minutes.

Is THAT supposed to happen?
Ok...the key was to let it run for 15 minutes in the Not Responding state.

The mod is now active....hopefully that fixed the problem and I will get to start and actualy outfit the party.

I'll be back in a few minutes to either admit I am an impatient idiot....or I am a STUCK idiot waiting for further instructions. 8)

Ok.....problem solved I was an impatient idiot. 8)

Never mind...nothing to see here...move along
