Hi everyone

I'm loving this game :-) I just discovered that lots of bugs are solved by Co8 Patch and I'm planning to install it.

Before applying it I want to backup my savegames, but I can't find them.

I expected those to be under modules/ directory. But there's nothing there, only my created players. Where can I find those files?

Using: Windows7 and plain version from GOG.com

If you installed in C:\Program files (default) then you should look under My Documents

But exactly, which file I should look for?

I checked MyDocuments directory for the save files of ToEE before. But I cannot find them!

If you installed the game into Program Files then the saves may be in the virtual store, which is usually located in C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\<AppName>.

You likely need to enable 'show hidden files'.

For older games it's a good idea to install them into a folder outside of Program Files, eg C:\games to avoid these problems.

I do not believe you will be able to use your old save games after installing the Co8 mod. I tried doing that and was unsuccessful, though that may be due to me rather than the mod :)

It's worth starting from scratch anyway since you have a much better understanding of how to build your characters and party now. Plus, it's not fair to do the low level mod content as a high level character!

Totally true, I cannot reuse the saved files. Instead I started a new game.

Thanks for the heads up, I was just going to try this, cheers. :)

Just a query, I have created my own characters, will they still be available in the roster, if I start a new game with the Co8 mod?
