One thing that came up while I was writing a post in another forum:

If your Constitution changes during play (for example, by putting your stat point there when you level up, or via a magical effect or poison (are poisons implemented in this game?), does your HP change retroactively, or does the new Con stat only affect HP gains at later level ups? I know HP gains from Con are retroactive in the table top game (and are in the Infinity Engine games, for example), but I know that some early AD&D-based CRPGs don't implement that, and that ToEE isn't always the most accurate implementation of the rules (see False Life stacking and Vampiric Touch being useless, for example).

I would prefer an answer based on the un-modded version of the game, if possible (though It would be nice to know if any of the popular mods changes this behavior).

It's retroactive in both vanilla and Co8/temple+
