Just went through the tutorial, looks like a fun game for what it is. But I'm a bit disappointed with the small choice of portraits and voicesets at character creation. Is there a way to add custom portraits and voicesets and if so, any good places on the net where I can download such?

Also, the tutorial had me wonder if it would be possible to mod TOEE in such a way that you could play custom dungeons and mini-adventures created by some talented modders out there. Would be an awesome engine for that, if it was possible.

Stop playing right now and go to http://www.co8.org/ ! You really, really should download their modpack that contains fixes for the ton of game-breaking bugs before starting a "real" game. You also have the option to download the mod version that adds a bunch of new content!

Thanks for the heads-up! I noticed the sticky here and was planning to install co8 anyway, currently I'm just toying around, trying to get a feel for the game. Does co8 also add more portraits and voicesets?

I take it the new content only adds to the game and doesn't make significant changes to the original (except for providing opportunities to get more xp, so that the game will get easier if you explore everything)?

Btw, all the talk in the sticky about Patch 3 included or not included in the GOG version and issues possibly occuring or not etc. is quite confusing for a newbie. Has anyone actually played through the whole game with the GOG version and co8 installed over it without running into any problems? I don't want to rely on "so far it works fine" only to run into a game-breaking bug after hours and hours of playing ...

The Co8 folks say: install GOG version, install Co8 mod, and you're done. No other patches needed.

Ok, I'll try that then, thanks!
