Hey guys. I played CO8 TOEE years and years ago and appreciated what they added.

I recently installed the game through GOG Galaxy, installed all the CO8 stuff and activated it using their launcher. Now, when I launch the game from GOG Galaxy, how can I tell I'm using the CO8 version? I remember there being extra townspeople in Hommlet. But I have to create a character and go through the introductory stuff before I find out. Is there any other way to tell before I get that far into the game?

well when i downloaded and activated the CO8 launcher, i got the start-up menu window where i could select a shortcut startup. I just start the game from there, not from withing GOG galaxy. I start the game with the icon, the CO8 menu window comes up, and i hit launch from the menu button.

As eolsunder said, you have to start from the shortcut created by the Co8 installer and the first time you do it you have to activate the modpack. And you can see it while starting the game as well because the Co8 team has modified the starting screen, i.e. added a line that you're using their modpack.
